The Laurel Hotel & Spa will anchor the premier corner of south college street and Thach Avenue, affording a stunning view of iconic Samford Hall. The amenities will include 16 luxurious rooms, 10 suites, 6 residences, a spa, fitness studio, rooftop pool, rooftop bar, cabana service, yoga pavilion and valet parking.

The valet parking attendant is expected to carry out the following responsibilities and uphold the hotel's standards on a daily basis;


  • Greet and welcome guests to the hotel and offer professional services
  • Accommodate guests by ensuring all doors are being opened by valet attendant, assisting with luggage, acknowledging guests going in and out of the building and other items
  • Operate guests' vehicles safely
  • Ability to transport guests' vehicles safely from multiple locations (The Laurel Hotel, The Hotel at Auburn University, South college deck) within a .7-mile radius.
  • Keep an organized record of tickets/keys assigned to each vehicle/guest
  • Ensure vehicles are parked safe and secure
  • Direct traffic in the parking area as needed
  • Inspect and document vehicles upon arrival for existing damage

  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies, services and resolve occupants' complaints.


  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
